MonkeySports Superstore - Norwood

We are so lucky to have this store for all of my son’s Hockey Goalie and Lacrosse needs!!! I feel like we are in there every 1-2 weeks. The staff is always helpful, and Debbie in particular who works at the front most of the time, makes you feel like it is a family run store. We needed help recently with getting some particular items ordered for my son, who is a full right youth goalie, and she couldn’t have been nicer and more patient with us. We will always make MonkeySports are preferred destination for all of our hockey and lacrosse needs! Thank you Debbie and team!

I had bought some hockey equipment online. When I came to the store to pick it up there were some issues. The team in Norwood took care of my issues and even made me aware of a sale happening which saved me money. In another situation I went in to get a stick and the team took the time to search their digital inventory to get me a better stick within the budget I was looking for. These folks are the definition of customer service. I will be making the trip to this store for all my equipment needs. It's so convenient because the store is so big, and I can see and try on equipment before buying. That gives me peace of mind.

Absolutely love this store! My husband plays hockey and goes here often for new gear. We recently got our 7 year old daughter into hockey and bought her her first skates at “play it again sports” and decided to head over to hockey monkey late Saturday night, 10 minutes before they closed, for a bake and skate sharpening. We felt awful as we did not know they closed in 10 minutes and apologized for being “those customers” but asked if they could help us, and if not, it was okay we would understand. All of the staff were upfront waiting to leave and they all said it wasn’t a problem at all and wanted to help us! The bake sesh finished at around 6:05pm, we weren’t expecting to have her skates sharpened as it was already past closing but they told us to head to the back and Bob was waiting for us to sharper her skates! We couldn’t be more grateful from all of the staffs kindness and hospitality. We left around 6:20pm and thanked all of them multiple times for helping us at the last minute. Any other place would’ve probably told us to pound sand (which we were fully expecting to happen since we came last minute) but the staff truly went above and beyond and we can’t thank them enough!

Living a few hours away, we were concerned about the logistics of resolving the issue, especially with our daughter's state tournament approaching. Enter Joe, the store manager, who went above and beyond in delivering outstanding customer service. Joe not only facilitated the return of the defective pair but also took proactive measures to ensure our daughter had a replacement pair well before her upcoming tournament. His dedication and efficiency in handling the situation left a lasting impression on us. It's rare to encounter such a high level of commitment to customer satisfaction. Joe's professionalism and the store's willingness to swiftly resolve the issue showcase Hockey Monkey in Norwood as a prime example of excellent customer care. We are grateful for the positive experience and would highly recommend this store to others seeking quality products and exceptional service.

6 months since last review, again walked out this store. Stood at skate sharpening being completely ignored by skate guy. I bit my tongue and then another employee walks in, make eye contact and I start to talk and then proceeds to turn away and talk to skate guy about where demo steel. Worse sports store out there Yep years later you have reaffirmed my reasoning to go to pure hockey instead. Stopped in to purchase a goalie chest pad. Found that and a stick. One employee was helping a customer, mind you the 40 minutes we shopped and tried stuffed on, employees still did not ask to help. As I am waiting in line to check, the employee helping a customer ask the other associate in the picture to help cash people out. He out right says no and walks away. Once again you have proven your service is terrible. I thought service would improve after the put goalie monkey inside monkey sports. It hasn't. It's gotten worse. Wanted to purchase my daughter Brians leg pads. No one wanted to help. They literally walked to the other side of the store to hide. I'll travel the extra 15 minutes up the highway to Pure Hockey for 100 percent better experience everytime.
